Learn to Leyn Torah
Post date: Jun 4, 2012 4:45:28 PM
We have a new group started for anyone who wants to learn to leyn (read from the Torah in the original). Reading Torah for services is a wonderful mitzvah and a personal accomplishment. The Torah is written in Hebrew calligraphy without vowels or punctuation, or musical notation (trope). Join our Sunday afternoon 1-2pm class and learn how to chant this ancient wonderful text.
Lessons are individualized so all levels are welcome, whether you want to learn or improve existing skills.
We invite you to learn to leyn and join our growing group of Torah readers.
Class meets at Golisano Academic Center on Naz campus in room 151 Sundays 1-2pm (except holidays)
